Dr. Guangyu Wang is an Associate Dean and Professor in the Faculty of Forestry at the University of British Columbia. With a wealth of expertise in national park management, recreation, and ecotourism development, Dr. Wang has made significant contributions to the field in the United States, Canada, and China. As the Director of the Multidisciplinary Institute of Natural Therapy (MINT) at UBC and the Director of the National Park Research Centre, Dr. Wang leads ground-breaking research. His dedication to studying forest therapy and its impact on social and environmental well-being has resulted in several completed research projects, shedding light on the profound connection between nature and human health.
Currently, Dr. Wang and his MINT team focus on investigating the efficacy of forest soundscape, lightscape, and viewscape in enhancing human health and overall well-being. His collaborations extend to several esteemed organizations, reflecting his commitment to interdisciplinary cooperation and fostering research partnerships.
